When Microsoft announced that Azure Lab Services is being retired, a lot of teachers were left wondering what happens next. Lab Services made it easy to hand a class their own machines, and suddenly that was going away.

We are an Australian team that works with teachers and students every day. We did not want schools and training providers to be pushed onto expensive platforms, with steep learning curves and per-seat licences, just to keep teaching the way they already do.

So we built StudentLabs: an affordable, straightforward alternative that runs on your own Azure. One simple price for each student, a class ready in minutes, and nothing new for students to learn. If you can share a link, you can run a lab.
