Launch a lab straight from your LMS, no second login

Students already live in your LMS. The less you drag them out of it, the more of them actually turn up to the lab.

Every extra login is a place to lose a student. They open the course in your LMS, then hit a different portal, a different password, a different support queue, and a chunk of the class never makes it to the machine. The fix is to meet them where they already are.

A link inside the unit, not a separate portal

StudentLabs plugs into your learning system using the standard LTI launch that Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and D2L Brightspace all speak. You drop a link into the unit, and when a student clicks it they land on their own machine, already signed in with their school account. No new credentials, no copying a code across tabs.

What that means day to day

  • Students click through from the week's content and start working.
  • Enrolment follows the class list you already maintain in the LMS.
  • Teachers place the lab exactly where it belongs in the course, next to the brief.

Because it uses the same standard the rest of your tools use, there is no bespoke integration project to budget for. Your LMS administrator registers StudentLabs once, the same way they would any other external tool, and from then on a lab is just another link in the course.

The best onboarding is the one students never notice. If getting to their machine feels like opening the next page of the unit, you have already won.
